Six information meetings due to be held from 10 to 25 October- in Blagoevgrad, Vurshets, Shumen, Veliko Turnovo, Plovdiv, Jambol. Invited to participate are municipalities, NGOs, community centres, regional associations of municipalities, entrepreneurs, co-operative societies and associations of producers and manufacturers, as well as Local Initiative Groups, mayors and media.

The information campaign is organized within the project “Rural Network and Leader”, a joint initiative of Ministry of Agriculture and Forests, the United Nations Development Programme and the Foundation for Local Government Reform.

The campaign aims to inform the stakeholders and, hence, potential participants in the rural network, about the initiative for establishing National Rural Network in Bulgaria and to encourage them to find their place in this national platform for exchange of information and partnership actions for rural development.

Provisional time-table of the information meetings:

10 October – Blagoevgrad
13 October – Vurshec
17 October - Shumen
18 October – Veliko Turnovo
24 October – Plovdid
25 October – Jambol
