According the Assessment of Development Results Report (2003): “In Bulgaria, UNDP has found a combination of substantive and operational focus that has given the organization a crucial place in national development, in particular with regard to ascertaining that the needs of the poor and vulnerable are maintained on the road towards EU accession. The evaluation has not identified any major areas of UNDP failure in Bulgaria. The assessment is that Bulgaria must be counted among UNDP’s country-level success stories, as it sets a very high standard for other country offices.” more...
